Centre ou trois-quarts centre (en anglais : centre) est un poste de rugby à XV. Il y a deux centres par équipe, généralement appelés premier et deuxième centres, qui portent respectivement les numéros 12 et 13 et font partie, avec les ailiers de la ligne de trois-quarts.
Le rugby à XV, appelé plus simplement le rugby, est un des sports estivaux les plus populaires d’Australie, et il est pratiqué autant à un niveau professionnel qu’amateur ou de loisir. Les joueurs aborigènes, ou des îles, peuvent suivant la saison, pratiquer le rugby à XV, le rugby à XIII et le football australien.

In 1992, the New Zealand national team, the All Blacks, played three matches against a World XV in New Zealand, to mark the centenary of the New Zealand Rugby Union. The first encounter ended in a 24–14 win for the World XV. New Zealand won the second match 54–26, and the third match 26–15.
