Robert John Downey, nascido Robert John Elias (Nova Iorque, 24 de junho de 1936 – Nova Iorque, 7 de julho de 2021), foi um cineasta, escritor, ator e produtor norte-americano de origem judaica. Ficou conhecido no cinema ao dirigir o "cult" clássico Putney Swope de 1969, entre vários outros trabalhos.
Robert John Downey Sr. (né Elias Jr.; June 24, 1936 – July 7, 2021) was an American film director, screenwriter and actor. He was known for writing and directing his underground film Putney Swope (1969), a satire on the New York Madison Avenue advertising world.
Robert Downey Sr. (1936-2021) was a filmmaker known for his absurdist and satirical comedies, such as Putney Swope and Greaser's Palace. He was also an actor, a guest speaker, and the father of Robert Downey Jr. and Allyson Downey.
