This software provides you with the tools to model, test, and optimize a steel highway bridge, based on realistic specifications, constraints, and performance criteria. The Bridge Designer is free and in the public domain.
Stephen Ressler created the Bridge Designer, a free educational software for designing steel highway bridges. His brother Gene Ressler, a former West Point professor, rewrote the software in Java and made it open source.

10 de jan. de 2016 · This folder contains recent releases of the West Point Bridge Designer. For 2014, both Mac and Windows versions of the WPBD are provided with embedded Java Runtime Environments. (The "minimum configuration" with no embedded JRE is gone.)
