9 de jun. de 2017 · With the Dmax's abundant torque, and low RPM ceiling, it's important to get proper lockup for max performance. Without it, my truck won't lockup until redline at 3rd, wherein it then drops 500rpms and redlines again and shifts to fourth.
Pressure tap locations and pressure values are shown in the Service Manual for the transmission being checked. Input power, ground, neutral start circuitry, etc., can cause problems with electronic controls or vehicle functioning and may not generate a diagnostic code.

27 de abr. de 2007 · Here’s a case in point. A 2001 2WD Chevrolet 1500 with a 6.6L diesel engine and an Allison 1000 transmission was returned to a transmission shop. The transmission had been overhauled recently and the customer’s complaint was a cycling TCC, or what he described as a lockup surge. A scan check of the vehicle found no codes.

This slippage causes the Allison 1000 to go into "fail safe" mode preventing you from getting your Duramax power to the ground. The stock Allison transmission only receives approximately 86 PSI oil pressure to the clutch packs when in 5th gear.
