Potts is Tony Stark's longtime personal secretary and current girlfriend. For a brief period, she was also CEO of Stark Industries. More recently, Potts helped Stark design Stark Tower, Manhattan's first and only self-sustaining building to be powered by an arc reactor. To this day, Potts is considered one of the few people capable of keeping both Stark and Iron Man in check.

Pepper Potts is a brilliant and resilient businesswoman, and an important civilian in the life of Iron Man for many years before becoming an armored super hero of her own, Rescue.
In Iron Man 3, Pepper falls down and is presumed to have died. Later on, she resurfaces very much alive and saves Tony by hitting Aldrich Killian. After, she kills Killian using a Repulsor to blast a Missile that she kicked towards him, which caused a large explosion ending Killian's life.
