Lea Katherine Thompson (born May 31, 1961) is an American actress, singer, dancer, and director. She is best known for her role as Lorraine Baines-McFly in the Back to the Future film trilogy (1985–1990), Beverly Switzler in Howard the Duck (1986), and Amanda Jones in Some Kind of Wonderful (1987).
With Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover. Marty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown.
