Ian Millar CM (born January 6, 1947) is a Canadian Equestrian Team athlete for show jumping. He is a two-time winner of the Show Jumping World Cup, and an Olympic silver medalist. Due to his longevity and accomplishments, he is often nicknamed "Captain Canada" in his sport.
In 1989 he won the Grand Prix of Bordeaux, France and the Grand Prix of Stuttgart, Germany, ranking Millar number one in the world. Millar and Big Ben also won the du Maurier International twice, in 1987 and 1991, the world's richest grand prix event at that time.

Biography. Ian Millar, a member of the Canadian equestrian team since 1971, has become one of the most decorated and renowned Canadian competitors in the sport. On the national level he has captured ten Canadian Show Jumping Championships (1983, 1986-1991, 1993, 2004, and 2007) and won more grand prix and derby events than any North American.
