  6. Philosophy major requirements, effective Fall 2023. The philosophy major requires ten courses and 30 credits. At least 9 courses and 27 credits must be at the 2000-level or above. At least 6 courses and 18 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.

  7. In order to be admitted to candidacy for the PhD, students complete the following requirements within six (6) semesters from beginning the PhD program. At least 15 courses (45 credits) are required and are to be distributed as follows: philosophy of science (LEMMS Proseminar 1 & LEMMS Proseminar 2).
