The FNaF 1 paycheck matches the minimum wage from 1991 to 1996, and the only year in this period of time when November 12th is Tuesday is 1992. Either way I don't think this is true. It's most likely 1993 since that year is mentioned in one of the Faz Facts.
Even though there is no specified year in which the game takes place, many have assumed that it takes place around 1993, as the paycheck at the end of the game matches the minimum wage of the time. In the first game, the newspaper article shown in the intro sequence misspells "pizzeria" as "pizzaria".

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 (2015) Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is surprisingly set 30 years after the events of the first game, with the main character working at Fazbear's Fright, a horror attraction based on the long-gone Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
