Dylan Thomas. Dylan Marlais Thomas (27 October 1914 – 9 November 1953) [1] was a Welsh poet and writer whose works include the poems "Do not go gentle into that good night" and "And death shall have no dominion", as well as the "play for voices" Under Milk Wood.

Thomas schreef verder en af en toe werden ook gedichten van hem gepubliceerd. Eind 1933 en begin 1934 schreef hij zo'n 30 gedichten waarvan er 13 zijn eerste bundel haalden. Kenmerkend voor zijn vroege poëzie zijn het gebruik van alliteratie, binnenrijm en sprung rhythm .
