Sans is the main protagonist/secondary antagonist of Dusttale. After the player kept on resetting over and over again, doing Genocide, Sans, remembering all of the previous timelines, decides that the only way to stop the human is by killing all of the monsters so he can get strong enough to defeat the human.
Something now stirs in Sans, as he remembers the many previous consecutive routes of pain and suffering. Will you, the human, aid Chara in their quest for everlasting power, or is there a different way?
