In October 2022 there was an update to PCSX2 that pretty much fixed the sun glare issue, even though on the compatibility list it still shows up as a problem. Here are the settings I use (anything I dont mention I left as default):
30 de mai. de 2024 · Download the latest Pcsx2 nightly build (v1.7.2404 +). Extract the folder to the pcsx2 texture folder (...\Pcsx2\textures\SLUS-21050\replacements). SSD recommended!! Config > Graphics Settings > Advanced tab: Load Texture: ON / Async Texture Loading: ON; Have fun! Update: - Fixed the lens flare bug.

But why is PCSX2 taking so long to reach full playability and why does it require such powerful hardware? Was the PS2 hardware really that high powered? Or is it because of the types of hardware that has to be emulated?
