The size of the English Wikipedia can be measured in terms of the number of articles, number of words, number of pages, and the size of the database, among other ways. As of 31 May 2024, there are 6,829,574 articles in the English Wikipedia containing over 4.5 billion words (giving an average of about 668 words per article).
Currently, the English Wikipedia alone has over 6,821,212 articles of any length, and the combined Wikipedias for all other languages greatly exceed the English Wikipedia in size, giving more than 29 billion words in 55 million articles in 309 languages.
