Dom Duarte Pio, Duke of Braganza (Portuguese: Duarte Pio de Bragança, born 15 May 1945) is the current Duke of Braganza and a claimant to the defunct Portuguese throne, as the head of the House of Braganza.
Duarte Pio foi o presidente da campanha Timor 87, uma campanha de apoio à independência de Timor-Leste (colónia portuguesa que era, na época, ocupada pela Indonésia) e aos timorenses residentes em Portugal e noutros países.
Duarte Nuno was succeeded as pretender by his son, Duarte Pio of Braganza (born 1945). Duarte Pio served in the Portuguese Armed Forces and took the customary oath of allegiance to the Republic, but Portuguese monarchists recognize him as the pretender to the Portuguese throne.
Dom Duarte Pio was the godchild and heir of Queen Dona Amélia (mother of Dom Manuel II) and is today the Head of the Royal House of Portugal. The last King of Portugal, Dom Manuel II, died in exile in 1932.

Teve por padrinhos Sua Santidade o Papa Pio XII e por madrinha a Rainha Dona Amélia de Orleans e Bragança, então viúva de D. Carlos I, Rei de Portugal. Permitido o regresso a Portugal da Família Real nos anos 50, estudou no Colégio Nuno Álvares (Caldas da Saúde) em Santo Tirso entre 1957 e 1959.
The Duke of Braganza holds one of the most important dukedoms in Portugal, see Duchy of Braganza (Bragança). Created in 1442 by King Afonso V of Portugal for his uncle Afonso, Count of Barcelos (natural son of King John I of Portugal), it is one of the oldest fiefdoms in Portugal.
