The entirety of Treasure Planet is a mechanism in and of itself, with its core serving as the treasure trove. It also has its own security system/booby trap, which the characters unknowingly set off as they enter.
Just before Treasure Planet came out in theaters, a game for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance based on the film was released. It showed different worlds and gave players the ability to play as Jim Hawkins.
Highlights include Silver, whose mechanical parts are CGI while his organic ones are drawn, and B.E.N., who is the film's only CGI-only character. Both instances blend almost seamlessly with the hand-drawn material.
John Silver is a jovial, honorable Cyborg doubling as a pirate captain in his lifelong quest to find the titular "Treasure Planet" housing the legendary treasure of Nathaniel Flint.
Treasure Planet is an animated sci-fi adventure film, and an adaptation of the famous Treasure Island story. Starting with the positives, it looks amazing, has great music, memorable characters and a gripping story.
