Pearson College UWC is a two-year, pre-university school in Victoria, Canada, named after Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Lester B. Pearson. It offers the IB Diploma Programme and a Climate Action Leadership Diploma, with a focus on experiential education and marine sciences.
Lester B. Pearson, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and former prime minister of Canada, was the driving force behind the founding of Pearson College UWC. After retiring from public life, Pearson became interested in the United World Colleges movement.
Pearson College UWC, originally known as Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific, was named in honour of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and former Canadian Prime.
More than 4,200 students have graduated from the College — its alumni are determined to make a difference in the lives of others and the world. The College was named in honour of the late Canadian Prime Minister and Canada’s only Nobel Peace Laureate (awarded in 1957), Lester B. Pearson.

Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific, Metchosin, BC, was established in 1974 and named in honour of Nobel prize winner and former prime minister Lester B. Pearson. He had been impressed by the United World College (UWC) project when he visited the Atlantic College in England.
