King’s is a dynamic and diverse College in the heart of Cambridge. Founded in 1441 by King Henry VI and recognised for its iconic Chapel, King's has a proud history of independent thought and offers a friendly and forward-thinking community to applicants from all backgrounds.
King's College, formally The King's College of Our Lady and Saint Nicholas in Cambridge, is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. This college lies beside the River Cam and faces out onto King's Parade in the centre of the city.
Each year, King's College admits between 130-135 undergraduates from a range of all the subjects offered at the University of Cambridge except Education, Land Economy and Veterinary Medicine. Overall, we are a medium-sized College housing around 430 undergraduates across all years.
King’s stands in the centre of Cambridge, with its splendid grounds and buildings stretching to the River Cam and beyond. The College has a high ratio of teaching academics to undergraduates, and relations between members of the College are informal.
