Disenchanted Aerialite Ore is a Pre-Hardmode ore which generates inside of Clouds on Floating Islands upon world generation. Upon defeating The Hive Mind or The Perforators, the ore loses its disenchantment and becomes Aerialite Ore with a significantly lower pickaxe requirement of 65.
Only placed aerialite is converted, not the item itself. a bit late to reply to this but, did this happen in multiplayer? cause it happens to me but going into singleplayer then back to multiplayer fixes it. its exactly as the title says, is there something i need to wait for?

Aerialite Ore is a Pre-Hardmode ore which generates anywhere in the Underground upon defeating the Aether Valkyrie. It is used to craft Aerialite Bars at a Furnace. It requires at least a Nightmare Pickaxe or a Deathbringer Pickaxe to mine. It is also dropped by Aero Slimes .

No, the thing in the pic is disenchanted aerialite. If he beats the perforators/hivemind, it'll turn to regular aerialite (blue) and be mineable.
