Capitol Studios is a recording studio located at the landmark Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood, California, United States. The studios, which opened in 1956, were initially the primary recording studios for the American record label Capitol Records.
The Capitol Records Building is one of the most recognizable landmarks in all of Southern California. Completed in 1956, the unusual round structure, with its curved awnings on each level and a tall spike emerging from the roof, was designed by architect Louis Naidorf to resemble a stack of records on a turntable spindle.
