25 de mai. de 2020 · What can I expect when the status changes to 'Awaiting EiC Decision' very quickly? What is the meaning of "decision in process" status? Who takes the final decision on a manuscript: the AE or EiC?
If you hadn’t already passed a step called awaiting AE recommendation, the handling editor recommending desk rejection would indeed be my best guess. Apart from that it could be something trivial like you botching a figure or the list of citations.

However, today, it changed back to Awaiting Referee Scores. As per my understanding, the status should be Awaiting EIC Decision.
28 de mar. de 2015 · Using something named Google; "Awaiting AE recommendation -> The paper received the sufficient number of reviews (usually 2) and, on their basis, AE makes recommendation to EIC." That is a very fast review process.
Awaiting Editor Decision Your article has now received the minimum number of reviews required to make a decision. The Editor will take into account the expert reviewers’ opinions to make an informed decision of accept, reject or revise.
25 de mar. de 2016 · Answer: It is difficult to estimate how much longer you need to wait. Once the completed reviews come in, the Associate Editor (AE) evaluates them and gives his recommendation to the EiC. The EiC gives the final verdict based on the AE's recommendation.
