  1. The Albany Academy is an independent college preparatory day school for boys in Albany, New York. It enrolls students from Preschool (age 3) to Grade 12. It was established in 1813 by a charter signed by Mayor Philip Schuyler Van Rensselaer and the city council of Albany.

  2. Our History. The Albany Academy (founded in 1813) and Albany Academy for Girls (founded in 1814) have illustrious histories and many notable graduates. In 2013 and 2014 we celebrated the Bicentennial of both schools and ushered in our third century of excellence in education.

  5. About The Albany Academy. The Albany Academy is a provision for children and young people in Key Stage 3-4. The provision offers short term and temporary support to pupils who are at risk of exclusion or those who require additional targeted intervention to help them re-engage with learning in their mainstream school or next identified setting.
