Elizabeth Wilmot, Countess of Rochester (née Malet; 1651 – 20 August 1681) was an English heiress and the wife of John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester, the "libertine". She was the daughter of John Malet, of Enmore Manor , and Unton Hawley, daughter of Francis Hawley, 1st Baron Hawley .
15 de jun. de 2023 · Elizabeth Wilmot, Countess of Rochester (1651–1681) was an English Restoration poet. Handwritten poems by her are held in the Portland manuscript collection at the University of Nottingham, which also contains works by her husband, John Wilmot, the second Earl of Rochester.

They had four children: Lady Anne Wilmot (1669–1703), Charles Wilmot (1671–1681), Lady Elizabeth Wilmot (1674–1757) and Lady Malet Wilmot (1676–1708/1709). In October 1667, the monarch granted Rochester special licence to enter the House of Lords early, despite being seven months underage.
Elizabeth Wilmot, Countess of Rochester, is best known to most modern readers as the woman John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester, abducted and later wed. As Samuel Pepys memorably records in his diary entry for 28 May 1665:
