Eigil Bryld (Danish pronunciation: [ˈɑjkil ˈpʁylˀ]) is a cinematographer, born 27 February 1971 in Odense, Denmark. He is famous for his work in such films and TV shows as House of Cards (2013), In Bruges (2008), You Don't Know Jack (2010), Becoming Jane (2007) and Kinky Boots (2005).
To make the film look and feel like it was actually made during the 1970s, Alexander Payne hired Eigil Bryld to serve as cinematographer and camera operator. On being selected, Bryld remarked "There's a sense of a spirit of the '70s movies — breaking away from your studios.
To Kill a King is a 2003 English Civil War film directed by Mike Barker, and starring Tim Roth, Rupert Everett and Dougray Scott. It centres on the relationship between Oliver Cromwell and Thomas Fairfax in the post-war period from 1648 until the former's death, in 1658.
