The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) is non-profit arts and theater management organization based in Columbus, Ohio .
Since its inception in 1969, CAPA has achieved international recognition for the diversity of the performing arts and entertainment programming it presents, the dramatic restoration of historic theatres, excellence in facility management, and positive contributions to the quality of life in downtown Columbus.
The Ohio Theatre is owned and operated by the non-profit arts management organization CAPA (The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts), which was originally formed to save the theater in 1969.
Southern Theatre. The oldest surviving theatre in central Ohio and one of the oldest in the state, the Southern Theatre opened in 1896 as part of a performance space and hotel complex on the corner of High and Main Streets.
