The Batman: Arkham Series is a franchise of video games, comics, novels, and animated movies that started with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009.

StoryThe game focuses on Batman returning Joker to Arkham Asylum after arresting him in Gotham City. After returning the clown prince of crime to the asylum, chaos is unleashed when he breaks out, and takes control of the Asylum. It is now up to Batman to stop him and his other foes including Bane, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy.
