Jasper Francis Cropsey (February 18, 1823 – June 22, 1900) was an American architect and artist. He is best known for his Hudson River School landscape paintings.

A large studio work commissioned in 1864 by Milton Courtright, a native of the Wyoming Valley, depicting a scenic view of the area. The painting was exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1865 and has a poem by Thomas Campbell inscribed on the frame.
