Arthur John Evans (Nash Mills, Inglaterra, 8 de julho de 1851 — Oxford, 11 de julho de 1941) [ 1][ 2] foi um arqueólogo britânico. Evans é considerado o descobridor da cultura minóica. Era mais conhecido pela escavação e exploração do palácio minoico de Knossos no início do século XX em Creta .
