Marjorie Bruce or Marjorie de Brus ( c. 1296 – 1316 or 1317) was the eldest daughter of Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, and the only child born of his first marriage with Isabella of Mar .

Marjorie Bruce was the only child of King Robert I the Bruce and Isabella of Mar. She survived the Scottish Wars of Independence, married Robert Stewart, and gave birth to Robert II, the first Stewart king of Scots.
Robert the Bruce sent his daughter, Marjorie, his wife Elizabeth and his two sisters north to Isabella MacDuff, Countess of Buchan for their safety, they were escorted by King Robert's brother, Niall Bruce and the Earl of Atholl.
Marjorie Bruce was the daughter of Robert I, the first king of Scotland, and the mother of Robert II, the founder of the Stewart dynasty. She was a hostage, a prisoner, and a political pawn in the wars of independence, and died in childbirth in 1316.
Marjory Bruce, Robert’s daughter, was only 12 years old when she was captured at Tain. At first King Edward decided that she would be locked into an iron cage and hung for all to see from the walls of the Tower of London but he later relented and Marjory was held in a nunnery in Yorkshire.
