Giovanni Battista Re (Borno, 30 de janeiro de 1934) é um cardeal italiano da Igreja Católica, prefeito emérito da Congregação para os Bispos e atual Decano do Colégio dos Cardeais. Presidiu ao Conclave de 2013 que elegeu o Papa Francisco.
Giovanni Battista Re (born 30 January 1934) is an Italian cardinal of the Catholic Church whose service has been primarily in the Roman Curia. He was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2001. He was prefect of the Congregation for Bishops from 2000 to 2010.

He was ordained for the Diocese of Brescia on 3 March 1957 and holds a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome.
