Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas D’Oyly Snow, KCB, KCMG (5 May 1858 – 30 August 1940) was a British Army officer who fought on the Western Front during the First World War.
Biography. Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas Snow, KCB, KCMG, was born on May 5, 1858, in Newton Valence, Hampshire, England. He was the 3rd child and first-born son of Rev. George D'Oyly Snow and his wife, Maria- Jane (Barlow) Snow.

Thomas was the eldest son of the Rev George D'Oyly Snow, born on 5 May 1858 at Newton Valence, Hants. He was educated at Eton and St John's College, Cambridge. He was commissioned into the 13th Light Infantry in 1879 in time for the Zulu War.
