Friedrich August Stüler (28 January 1800 – 18 March 1865) was an influential Prussian architect and builder. His masterpiece is the Neues Museum in Berlin , as well as the dome of the triumphal arch of the main portal of the Berliner Schloss .

Based on sketches by Friedrich Wilhelm IV, the museum was designed by Friedrich August Stüler between 1862 and 1865. After Stüler’s death, the construction of the impressive building was carried out by Johann Heinrich Strack. In 1876 it opened as the “Nationalgalerie.”

The building was designed by Friedrich August Stüler, a student of Schinkel who also designed the Neues Museum (New Museum). It was completed after Stüler’s death by another of Schinkel’s students, Johann Heinrich Strack.
