Lady Mary Sidney (née Dudley; c. 1530–1535 – 9 August 1586) was a lady-in-waiting at the court of Elizabeth I, wife of Sir Henry Sidney and the mother of Sir Philip Sidney and Mary Sidney Herbert, Countess of Pembroke.

Mary Sidney Herbert was the niece of Henry Hastings and Katherine Dudley Hastings, Earl and Countess of Huntingdon; of Ambrose Dudley and Anne Russell Dudley, Earl and Countess of Warwick; and of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, Queen Elizabeth's favourite.

Both Mary and Henry served Queen Elizabeth I loyally and for many years, and, unfortunately, Mary suffered a great deal after she nursed the queen through smallpox in 1562.
Há 6 dias · In the south aisle of St Margaret's church Westminster is a large monument to Mary, wife of Edward Sutton, 4th Lord Dudley. She died 21st August 1600. It shows a recumbent effigy of Mary in a red cloak trimmed with fur, wearing a ruff and headdress, with a lion at her feet.
