Archbishop of Canterbury. Born in Hampshire and educated in law at New College, Oxford, Warham frequently served as a diplomat (1491–1502) and negotiated Prince Arthur's marriage to Catherine of Aragon (1496). He was successively master of the rolls (1494), bishop of London (1502), archbishop (1504), and lord chancellor (1504–15).
Once, archbishop, Warham had considerable power and influence and presided over important events. Such events included the coronation of Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon on 24th June 1509 and opening speeches in parliament in 1504, 1510, 1512 and 1515.

A diplomat and scholar, William Warham (1450?–1532) was appointed Archbishop of Canterbury, the most senior churchman in England, in 1503. He was also Lord Chancellor between 1504 and 1515.
