Garech Domnagh Browne (25 June 1939 – 10 March 2018) was an Irish art collector and a notable patron of Irish arts, traditional Irish music in particular. He was often known by a Gaelic translation of his English name, Garech de Brún, or alternatively Garech a Brún, especially in Ireland.
The documentary praises Browne's galvanising impact on Irish music when he founded the Claddagh Records label, in the 1950s, and discovered bands such as The Chieftains.

A new book exploring the interesting life of Guinness heir Garech Browne, painting him not as a privileged scion but as a purveyor of Irish culture, will be released next month. Unexpectedly for many, it turns out that it was not his ancestors’ dark brew that stole Browne's heart but traditional Irish music.
