George von Lengerke Meyer (24 June, 1858 – 9 March, 1918) served as the fortieth Secretary of the Navy from 1907 through 1909.

He was part of the failed effort to convince Roosevelt to rejoin the Republican Party in 1916 and run for president. Meyer passed away at his home in Boston on March 9, 1918.
