John Winston Spencer-Churchill, 7th Duke of Marlborough, KG, PC (2 June 1822 – 4 July 1883), styled Earl of Sunderland from 1822 to 1840 and Marquess of Blandford from 1840 to 1857, was a British Conservative cabinet minister, politician, peer, and nobleman.

John Winston Spencer Churchill, 7th Duke of Marlborough (1822-83), son of the 6th Duke, was a Conservative politician. As Marquess of Blandford he was M.P. for Woodstock, 1844-45 and 1847-57. Churchill was Lord Steward of the Household, 1866-67, and Lord President of the Council in Benjamin Disraeli's government, 1867-68.
27 de abr. de 2020 · The sixth duke died on 1 July 1857, and John thus became the seventh Duke of Marlborough. He left the Commons for good and entered the House of Lords. He was later described by a biographer as “a sensible, honourable, and industrious public man.” 1
Marriages and issue. Marlborough was married four times and had a total of six children, two of whom died in infancy.
