Anthony David Weiner ( / ˈwiːnər /; [1] born September 4, 1964) is an American former politician who served as the U.S. representative for New York's 9th congressional district from 1999 until his resignation in 2011. A member of the Democratic Party, he consistently carried the district with at least 60% of the vote.
