Frederick John Robinson, 1º Conde de Ripon, PC ( 1 de novembro de 1782 – 28 de janeiro de 1859 ), Visconde Goderich 1827 – 1833, e O Conde de Ripon a partir de 1833, foi um político britânico e Primeiro-ministro do Reino Unido (quando passou a ser conhecido como Lord Goderich ).
Goderich was born Frederick John Robinson in 1782. He was the son of an aristocratic Yorkshire family, and his father was the Foreign Secretary, Lord Robinson. He attended Harrow and St John’s College Cambridge. After that, he studied law at Lincoln’s Inn, but was not called to the bar.
Liverpool appointed him a Privy Councillor and Vice-President of the Board of Trade, from which point he became a reliable Commons speaker and advisor to Liverpool on economic matters. He was always a moderate, transferring his allegiance in 1822 easily from Castlereagh to Canning.
