14 de set. de 2009 · Joanna de Kilpeck de Bohun, Countess of Hereford, was not my ancestor. She’s the ancestor of no one, having died without issue. But she has a beautiful tomb effigy in the Lady Chapel at Hereford Cathedral, so I have decided to resurrect her in 2009.
Família. Maria era a mais nova das três filhas de Humberto de Bohun, conde de Hereford e Northampton (1341–1373) e de Joana Fitzalan (1347/8–1419). [ 1] Seu pai era bisneto do rei Eduardo I da Inglaterra por parte paterna. A mãe de Maria, Joana FitzAlan era tataraneta do rei Henrique III da Inglaterra por parte da sua mãe, Leonor de Lencastre .
Joana Fitzalan (1347 – 7 de abril de 1419), foi esposa de Humberto de Bohun, 7.° Conde de Hereford, neto de Isabel de Rhuddlan, que era filha de Eduardo I de Inglaterra e Leonor de Castela.
18 de jul. de 2011 · The tomb of Joanna Bohun (d1337), in the Lady Chapel of Hereford cathedral, is one of only two 14th cenury tombs of women in Hereford where the name of the person represented is known. She died childless and in the last year of her life gave 1 acre of land and the advowson of the church of Lugwardine to the cathedral.

Sometime after 9 September 1359, Joan married Humphrey de Bohun, one of the most powerful noblemen in the realm. His titles included 7th Earl of Hereford, 6th Earl of Essex, 2nd Earl of Northampton, and he was the hereditary Constable of England.
