Giles Stephen Holland Fox-Strangways, 6th Earl of Ilchester GBE DL (31 May 1874 – 29 October 1959), styled Lord Stavordale until 1905, was a British peer and philanthropist.
Stephen Fox-Strangways. Stephen Fox, later Stephen Fox-Strangways, 1st Earl of Ilchester (1704–1776) was a Whig member of Parliament and later peer. He was the son of Sir Stephen Fox and his second wife Christiana Hope. Henry Fox, 1st Baron Holland, was his younger brother and the Radical politician Charles James Fox his nephew.
Stephen Fox-Strangeways was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles. Biography. Stephen (Fox) Fox-Strangways (1704-1776) was the 1st surv. s. of Rt. Hon. Sir Stephen Fox, M.P and brother of Henry Fox. He attended Eton 1715, matriculated Christ Church College, Oxford in 1721 but did not take a degree.
