Maurice de Abravanel ( Salônica, 6 de janeiro de 1903 — Salt Lake City, 22 de setembro de 1993) foi diretor de orquestra grego. Com 6 anos de idade partiu para a Suíça, onde começa por estudar medicina, abandonando esta a favor da música, tendo tipo por mestre K. Weill em Berlim.
Maurice Abravanel (January 6, 1903 – September 22, 1993) was an American classical music conductor. He is remembered as the conductor of the Utah Symphony for over 30 years.
In 1933, at age 27, Abravanel made his debut at the Berlin State Opera, where he became a frequent guest conductor. Following in the footsteps of his ancestors, Abravanel was forced to leave Germany as Hitler rose to power renewing the centuries-old torment of Jews.
