Gary Peacock (1935-2020) was an American jazz double bassist who played with major jazz figures such as Bill Evans, Paul Bley and Keith Jarrett. He was influenced by Ornette Coleman and explored free jazz, avant-garde jazz and post-bop jazz in his career.
