Big Daddy is an American comedy-drama film directed by Dennis Dugan and starring Adam Sandler and Leslie Mann, which was released on June 25, 1999 by Columbia Pictures. Sonny Koufax (Adam Sandler) is a carefree, unmotivated slob, who has declined to take on adult roles and responsibilities.
When his roommate, Kevin leaves, for China, a boy is dropped at their apartment and is told that he is Kevin's son, but Kevin doesn't know his mother. Sonny takes care of him, and after spending time with him he decides to adopt him hoping that his girlfriend will be impressed.
