Passer By is a 2004 British television film broadcast on BBC One in two parts on 28 and 29 March 2004. It was directed by David Morrissey from a script by Tony Marchant and stars James Nesbitt as Joe Keyes, and Emily Bruni as Alice.
Passer By plot. Joe Keyes (James Nesbitt) witnesses a young woman being harassed by two men. He ignores the incident and rushes home. When he later learns that the woman has actually been assaulted, he struggles with great guilt and decides to go to the police after all.

James Nesbitt plays radiographer Joe Keyes. Late one night he is travelling home by train when he sees a young girl, Alice (Emily Bruni) being chatted up by two men. When the banter becomes threatening Joe is unsure whether or not to intervene. When he reaches his station he glances at Alice who seems to be appealing for his help.
