When matador Vasco Lopez secretly marries opera singer Lola Castillo, her mother persuades Lola to annul the marriage on the grounds of class differences. Lola then agrees to marry Captain Alvarez, her social equal. Enraged, Lopez shoots Alvarez, abducts and rapes Lola's sister Maria and becomes an infamous bandit.
