Wolf acompanha Jacob, um menino que acredita ser um lobo preso em um corpo humano e é enviado a uma clínica ("o zoológico") especializada em curar pessoas com a sua doença, chamada disforia de espécie. O estabelecimento é liderado pelo " zookeeper, " ou guardião do zoológico, que usa terapias "curativas" extremas nos pacientes.
Directed by Nathalie Biancheri. Once upon a time, there was a wolf and a wildcat… Jacob, a man who believes he is a wolf trapped in a human body, is sent to a clinic by his family where he is forced to undergo increasingly extreme forms of “curative” therapies at the hands of The Zookeeper.
When Jacob meets a kindred spirit in long-term resident Wildcat (Lily-Rose Depp), he must decide who he wants to be. MacKay gives a performance of feral physicality in a film reminiscent of Yorgos Lanthimos’s work in its mixture of pathos and dry humour.
