Sinopse. No ápice da Guerra Fria, o operário de uma mina Ralph Burton fica preso devido a um deslizamento em uma caverna enquanto fazia uma inspeção de rotina. Ele passa alguns dias aguardando ser salvo, até perceber que não escuta mais nenhum barulho de escavações e decide sair por sí mesmo dali.
