Diary of the Dead plot "Some people come back to haunt you no matter how deep you bury them." Unemployed Stan lives with his wife Vera and her condescending mother Maud. The couple is childless and Maud has suffered a stroke. Because there is a daily battle between Stan and his mother-in-law, who also openly insults him, he hates her enormously.
