Revolt of the Slaves isn't about a slave revolt at all, but rather about the persecution of Christians by the Romans, including the martyrdom of St. Sebastian. Italian national treasure Ettore Manni shines as Sebastian, while French pop star Serge Gainsbourg admirably plays the villain, a sort of Roman gestapo agent.
