Susan Laura Carney (born September 16, 1951) is an American lawyer who serves as a senior United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit . Early life and education. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, Carney grew up attending public schools in Lexington and Weston, Massachusetts.
Susan L. Carney is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Before her appointment, Carney served as Deputy General Counsel of Yale University, a position she held for more than a decade.
